i scored my first goal in polo tonight! this is HUGE for me, considering i’m primarily a defensive player. when my coach put me in hole set i thought he was freaking insane. like WUT. But it was so worth it. i learned how to turn on the offensive mind in my brain, and i was able to feel all of my hard work over the past two years come into play. i started the first day last season not knowing how to swim. i was relegated to a kick board during warmups for the first three weeks. but now i’m able to keep up with the fastest girls both on the team and in conference, and i can play hole set and actually score. like what. what. this isn’t real.
